Does GoSteady detect falls?
GoSteady focuses on changes in rollator movement and one-press family alerts rather than automatic fall detection.
What happens when the alert button is pressed?
GoSteady notifies the family members selected during setup, shares its location, and makes it easy for someone to call and check in.
Does it share location?
GoSteady’s GPS location is attached to a user-initiated alert sent to chosen contacts. It does not provide continuous tracking or route history.
Does the older adult need a smartphone or Wi-Fi?
No. GoSteady has its own cellular connection. Family members use a phone or computer to view updates and manage notifications.
Does it work outside the home?
GoSteady travels with the rollator and uses cellular connectivity rather than home Wi-Fi. Connectivity depends on supported cellular coverage.
Does it need daily charging?
No. GoSteady is designed for up to a year per charge under normal use, so it can stay on the walker without a daily charging routine. Actual battery life varies with use and cellular conditions.
Who receives the updates?
Only family members or trusted contacts invited to the Care Circle receive GoSteady updates. The person using the rollator should know about and consent to the service.
